William "Bill" Campbell, 63, of Platte City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 5, 1945, in Hannibal, Mo., son of Phil and Hazel Campbell. He was the youngest of three boys.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Dottie; three sons, Glenn Campbell of Cape Girardeau, Mike Campbell of Weston, Mo., Todd Campbell of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Carrie Schmalz of Kansas City; two brothers, Gerry Campbell of Monroe City, Mo., Jim Campbell of Greencastle, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill grew up in the Cape Girardeau area. His passions were fishing, golfing, gardening and his occasional trip to a casino. His unconditional love and devotion for his family was unmatched.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McGilley Antioch Chapel in Kansas City. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96th St. in Kansas City. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
