McCLURE, Ill. -- Beulah May Waddell, 81, of McClure died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 14, 1916, at McClure, daughter of Calvin Gilbert and Mary Evelyn Colyer Cook. She first married Ralph Kerley Oct. 20, 1933, in Cairo. He died Jan. 19, 1978. She later married Glenn Waddell Sept. 25, 1980, at Benton, Mo. He died May 7, 1988.
Waddell had lived at McClure all her life, and farmed with her first husband. She was a member of East Cape Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World, Farm Bureau, and St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include three stepdaughters, Glenda Dohogne of Kelso, Judy Atkinson of Minneapolis, Minn., Delores Bregantini of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Virginia Norman of Ketchikan, Alaska; eight stepgrandchildren; and seven great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bill Whitener will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery.
