Funeral for Beulah "Boots" Loucks of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Mike Parry will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Loucks, 80, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 21, 1919, at Neely's Landing, daughter of James E. and Prudence Olive McClard Cotner. She first married Ralph Bowerman Oct. 29, 1937. She later married Charles D. Loucks Oct. 13, 1975, at Scott City. He died Nov. 29, 1995.
Loucks had been a salesclerk at Howard's and at Al's 234 which later became Oglander's. She was a graduate of Central High School and had been a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Lindsay Bowerman of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lynda Mueller of Jefferson City; a stepson, Paul Loucks of Collinsville, Ill.; two brothers, Earl Cotner of Scott City, Jim Cotner of St. Charles; a sister, Margaret Wilson of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
