PATTON, Mo. -- Beulah Mae Altom, 85, of Patton passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Oct. 26, 1928, at Saco, Missouri, daughter of Edd and Cora Fairless Jordan. She and Cletus H. "Tony" Altom were married Sept. 28, 1946. He passed away April 10, 2007.
Beulah worked 30 years at Angelica Uniform Co. After retirement, she started a machine quilting business in her home, which she operated as long as health permitted. She was an active member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school.
Survivors include two sons, David (Bama) Altom of Jackson and Michael (Rose) Altom of Selmer, Tennessee; a sister, Gladys Kennedy of Fredericktown, Missouri; grandchildren, Adam, Daniel Altom, Chasity Naso and Elizabeth Cowell; great-grandchildren, Dorian, Leah Altom and Johnny Swofford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Jimmy Altom; and several siblings.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roy Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.
