Committal service for Betty Lou Uhr of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held later.

Uhr, 74, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services.

She was born July 20, 1925, in Kansas City, daughter of Albert H. and Cora Groom Fitch. She and Charles Uhr were married April 7, 1945, in Neodesha, Kan.

Uhr was a graduate of Westport High School in Kansas City, and attended Drury College in Springfield.

Before moving to Cape Girardeau, she had lived in Springfield; Tulsa, Okla.; Chaffee; Sanibel Island, Fla.; and Farmerville, La.

She retired as rental manager at Priscilla Murphy Real Estate Co. in Sanibel Island. She had been active in Boy and Girl Scouts. She was a member of First Christian Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Joe Uhr of West Monroe, La., Charles Uhr Jr. and Sid Uhr of Springfield; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
