Betty Taylor, 65, 1750 Bessie, died Sunday, March 20, 1994, at her home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Decatur, Ill., daughter of Eugene Howard and Alice W. Jenn Scarlett Sr.
Taylor was a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She taught at Central Junior High School, and at a high school in Santa Barbara, Calif.
She received a nursing degree in 1981. She moved back to Cape Girardeau in January 1986 from Santa Barbara, and was a nurse at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. Taylor was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Keith, Randy, Kevin and Greg Taylor, all of Santa Barbara; a brother, Eugene Scarlett Jr. of Coronado, Calif., and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating.
