COBDEN, Ill. -- Funeral for Betty Jane Spiller of Savannah, Ga., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate, with burial in Cobden Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Spiller, 73, died Saturday, May 30, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
She was born Jan. 1, 1925, in Cobden, daughter of Alonzo and Nona Edith Claxton Ross. She married Lawrence "PeeWee" Spiller, who died in 1985.
Spiller had worked at Eckert Orchards. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cobden.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Newberry of Alto Pass, Lisa Everett of Savannah; two sons, Jim Fisher of Cedaredge, Colo., Kevin Hubbs of Eckert, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
