Memorial service for Betty C. Sambrook of Gardiner, Maine, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Gardiner Congregational Church.
Staples Funeral Home in Gardiner is in charge of arrangements.

Sambrook, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at her home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Pittston, Maine. She married Alfred E. Sambrook, who died in 1964.
Sambrook was a 1940 graduate of Gardiner High School, and 1945 graduate of Waldo School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at various hospitals in Maine. She was a member of Gardiner Congregational Church and its Lucy Loring Club, member and currently chaplain of Eureka Rebekah Lodge, member and former noble grand of Past Noble Grand Club.
Survivors include a son, Thom Sambrook of Portland, Maine; three daughters, Valerie Hudspath of Alexandria, Va., Darcie Poulin of Winslow, Maine, Sara Hasty of Gardiner; two sisters, Priscilla Payne of Gardiner, Patricia Crossno of Cape Girardeau; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
