BENTON, Mo. -- Betty Sue Pettigrew, 70, of Benton died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 18, 1942, at Dorena, Mo., to Raymond Wayne and Edith Mattie Johnson Hannah. She and Harry Quertermous were married June 16, 1962, in Charleston, Mo.

Betty was a resident caretaker at Sunshine Villa in Scott City. She was of the General Baptist belief.

She is survived by three daughters, Angie (Gary) Henderson of Olive Branch, Ill., Linda (John) White of Fredericktown, Mo., LaDonna (Don) Rainey of Benton; three brothers, the Rev. Raymond Hannah of East Prairie, Mo., Larry Hannah of Kane, Ill., Bobby (Roxanne) Hannah of Fayetteville, Ill.; four sisters, Mary (Bruce) Garner of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Askins of Fredericktown, Fredia (Bud) Ferguson of DeSoto, Mo., Dorothy (Jerry) Silkwood of Piedmont, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Rouse officiating. Private burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
