Betty L. Peetz, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020. at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Jackson to Roy and Marie Lanpher Welker.
She and Reuben D. Peetz were married March 20, 1948, at Gordonville.
Betty was a 1947 graduate of Jackson High School.
She worked in the banking profession in the Jackson and Sikeston, Missouri, areas.
She enjoyed camping and snow birding in Florida during her retirement.
She was a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Reuben D. Peetz of Cape Girardeau; three cousins, Margaret Strack of Jackson, Virginia Welker of Millersville and Paul Welker of Millersville; and several special second cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Maxine Hahn.
There will be no visitation due to COVID-19.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
