BETTY NORTHCOTT

SIKESTON -- Betty L. Northcott, 66, of Sikeston died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Corning, Ark., daughter of Harry and Mary Adeline Allen Grant. She and Ira Dean Northcott were married July 30, 1955. He died March 30, 1980.

Northcott was a manager at the Quality Stamp Store eight years, and had been a checker at Midtowner Piggly Wiggly and Stan's Food Mart.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol VanPool of Jackson; a brother, Hugh Hollis of Valley, Wash.; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy West officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
