Betty Moore

Betty Jane Moore, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Advance, Missouri, the daughter of George and Victoria Eakins Bowers.

Betty was of the Baptist faith and had been a homemaker.

Betty and Loyd Moore were united in marriage June 14, 1955, in Advance, and he survives of the home.

Survivors include her husband, Loyd Moore of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Pamela J. (Byron) Benton of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Floyd Bowers of Advance; three sisters, Mary (Nolan) Baker of St. Peters, Missouri, Shirley (Carmen) Wilton of Cape Girardeau and Bonnie Bowers of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mitchell Loyd Moore; and four brothers.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance, with Randell Jackson officiating.
