Mary Betty Mills, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1932, in Georgetown, Ga., daughter of James Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Peak Brooks. She and Billy Gene Mills were married Oct. 23, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 9, 2003.
Betty served in the Women's Army Corps from 1950 to 1953. She was a member of Centenary United Metho-dist Church and a member of the Cape Girardeau County Genealogy Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Burnette and husband Terry of Jackson, Pam Campbell and husband Bill of Seminole, Fla.; two sisters, Nancy Campbell and husband Howard of Eufaula, Ala., Susan Kent and husband Jim of Valdosta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Zachary Burnette, Nicole and Eric Campbell.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with Dr. Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
