Betty Louise Meehan, 91, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born Sept. 18, 1929, in St. Louis to Marion and Frankie Jane Bishop Barnhart Cochran. She and Jean Douglas "Bus" Meehan were married March 15, 1947, at Saint Louis. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1987...

Betty Louise Meehan, 91, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Sept. 18, 1929, in St. Louis to Marion and Frankie Jane Bishop Barnhart Cochran. She and Jean Douglas "Bus" Meehan were married March 15, 1947, at Saint Louis. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1987.

She was a Girl Scout and former American Legion Auxiliary member.

She was a member of General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Survivors include a son, Dan (Sandi) Meehan of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Peg Meehan of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Doug, Richard L. and Baby Meehan; and a brother, David E. Barnhart.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
