Betty McLain

Betty Jane McLain, 88, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born May 4, 1930, in Flat River, Missouri, daughter of Charles Otto and Mary Ann Reiss Massey. She and Bill W. McLain were married June 3, 1989. He passed away Dec. 6, 2008.

Betty was a 1949 graduate of Perryville High School in Perryville, Missouri. She was a beautician for many years in Flat River and Perryville.

Loving survivors include a special friend, Robert Erlbacher; a stepson; a brother-in-law; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Tim Lee officiating.
