Betty McIntire

ANNA, Ill. -- Betty Lou McIntire, 71, of Anna died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at the Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Anna, daughter of Louie A. and Mildred Mallender Lockard.

McIntire attended First Baptist Church in Anna. She retired after 26 years of service from Vitamin World in Carbondale, Ill.

Survivors include a son, Paul McIntire of Anna; and two sisters, Sue Brimm of Auburn, Ill. and Kathy Thornburg of Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden, Ill., Cemetery.
