BETTY LACROIX

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Betty LaCroix, 72, of Advance died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, in Muskogee, Okla.

She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Advance, daughter of Luther and Jewell Pickens Jenkins. She and Carl "Sour" LaCroix were married March 18, 1950, in Cape Girardeau.

LaCroix retired from Inland Shoe Co. in Advance, where she was a payroll supervisor 30 years. She was an active member of Advance United Methodist Church and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Steve LaCroix of Muskogee; a brother, Harvey Jenkins of Lawton, Okla.; a half brother, Jerry Pickens of Jackson; two half sisters, Karen Lloyd of Cape Girardeau, Charlotte Simpkins of Paducah, Ky.; and a grandson.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Tom Zych will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
