CHAFFEE -- Betty Lou Dumey, 67, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 26, 1927, at Fornfelt, daughter of Charles and Luvada Harmon Miller. She and Joseph William Dumey were married May 15, 1951. He died June 4, 1984...

CHAFFEE -- Betty Lou Dumey, 67, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 26, 1927, at Fornfelt, daughter of Charles and Luvada Harmon Miller. She and Joseph William Dumey were married May 15, 1951. He died June 4, 1984.

Dumey had been a custodian at Scott City High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary to Post 6407 in Scott City.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Uhrhan and Catherine Kieffer of Chaffee, Jane Dumey-Wibbenmeyer of Jackson, Barbara Richbourg of Gordonville; a brother, Charles Miller of St. Joseph; two sisters, Grace Menz of Scott City, Bernice Pusch of Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 6 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
