Betty Lou Koch, 82, of Jackson died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 2, 1928, in Jackson, to Charles Henry and Doris Cecil Blake Peel. Betty and Kenneth Koch were married Jan. 2, 1948. He died Dec. 23, 1983.
Betty graduated from Jackson High School in 1946. She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.
Survivors include six sons, Danny (Rose) Koch of Piedmont, Mo., David (Teresa) Koch, Dennis (Kiki) Koch, Doug (Michelle) Koch, Chris (Susan) Koch, Chuck (Cynda) Koch, all of Jackson; three daughters, Linda (Frank) Monroe, Debbie, Amy (Mike) Moore, all of Jackson; a brother, Robert Peel of Jackson; two sisters, Doris Amos of Jackson, Jane Niswonger of Greenville, Mo.; 29 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Donald Charles; two brothers, Richard and Steven Blake; a sister, Helen; and a great-grandson, Matthew Monroe II.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
