Elizabeth Theresa "Betty" Kibler, 90, of Jackson passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 12, 1924, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, daughter of Leonard A. and Minnie Katherine John Harney. She and Robert "Bob" Kibler were married Oct. 21, 1945, in Pottsville. He passed away July 19, 2006...

Elizabeth Theresa "Betty" Kibler, 90, of Jackson passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 12, 1924, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, daughter of Leonard A. and Minnie Katherine John Harney. She and Robert "Bob" Kibler were married Oct. 21, 1945, in Pottsville. He passed away July 19, 2006.

Betty was a 1939 graduate of Pottsville High School. She lived in Jackson for 69 years, during which time she worked for Dr. Trollinger, Dr. Hecker and Dr. E.F. McDonald in Jackson as a medical assistant, and was a secretary for the former LaPierre-Sawyer Handle Factory, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson and was an avid bowler.

Loving survivors include a son, Robert "Rob" Kibler and spouse Larry Nichols of Los Angeles; a daughter, Barbara (Glenn) Proctor of Jackson; a grandson, Chris (Jamie) Mouser of Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Annie, Lauren and C.J. Mouser, all of Jackson; and a great-great-grandson, Hunter Wilson Frame.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.

Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
