Betty Jean Engelmann, 64, Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Wednesday, July 13, 1994, at her home.
She was born March 16, 1930, at Fornfelt, daughter of Wessie and Mabel Hager Lynn. She and Ernest Engelmann were married June 14, 1947, at Scott City. He died July 29, 1990.
Engelmann had worked at Cape Osteopathic Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and was employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital until becoming ill. She also worked 15 years for Dr. Marguerite Fuller.
She was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, David Engelmann of Arnold; a daughter, Tammie VanTroba of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Ronald Lynn of Saginaw, Mich., J.C. Lynn of Wood River, Ill.; two sisters, Elsie Caldwell of Whitewater, Ruby Chitty of Scott City, and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. David Stewart and William Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
