CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Betty J. Grojean, 82, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center. She was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Blomeyer, Missouri, to Emmett and Bertha Cato McBride. She and Charles Grojean were married Dec. 27, 1952, at Chaffee. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 2015...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Betty J. Grojean, 82, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Blomeyer, Missouri, to Emmett and Bertha Cato McBride. She and Charles Grojean were married Dec. 27, 1952, at Chaffee. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 2015.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a former, very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. She was a loving mother and housewife.

Survivors include her four daughters, Linda (Rick) Robinson of Cape Girardeau, Annette (Steve) McCulley of Jackson, Pamela (Michael) Compas of Cape Girardeau and Anna (Tim) Bender of Jackson; two sons, Michael Grojean of Gordonville and Anthony Grojean of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandchild, Toby; five brothers; and a sister.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gordonville.

Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Lutheran Church of Gordonville.
