Committal service for Betty Lou Fitch Uhr of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Betty, 74, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services.
She was born July 20, 1925, in Kansas City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fitch.
She was baptized at Hyde Park Christian Church and graduated from Westport High in Kansas City. She attended Drury College in Springfield, where she met her future husband, Charles Ivan Uhr. They were married April 7, 1945, in Neodesha, Kan.
During her life Betty resided in Springfield; Cape Girardeau; Tulsa, Okla.; Chaffee; Sanibel Island, Fla.; Farmerville, La.; and finally Cape Girarbel.
She was an avid bridge player, fisherlady and sometime golfer.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Joseph S. Uhr of West Monroe, La., Charles I. Uhr Jr. and Sidney F. Uhr of Springfield; and two grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and an aunt, Mrs. R.R. Stevens, who was instrumental in raising her.
Other services will be announced later.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shriners Hospital.
