CHAFFEE -- Betty Ann Evans, 59, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 9, 1937, at Chaffee, daughter of Paul Leroy and Helen Bernice Halter Evans Sr. Evans was a sewing machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co., and was a cook eight years at Mable's Cafe. CHAFFEE -- Betty Ann Evans, 59, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 9, 1937, at Chaffee, daughter of Paul Leroy and Helen Bernice Halter Evans Sr.

Evans was a sewing machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co., and was a cook eight years at Mable's Cafe. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula McAlister, Chaffee Route 1; her mother of Chaffee; a brother, Paul Evans Jr. of Delta; two sisters, Rosemary Kinder and Henrietta Lands of Chaffee; and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
