BETTY EDWARDS

DEXTER -- Graveside service for Betty Edwards of Dexter will be held at 1 p.m. today at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Edwards, 61, died Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 9, 1935, in Charleston, daughter of Leslie and Ethel Moore Hollis. She and Marvin Edwards were married March 15, 1970, at Dexter.

Edwards was retired from Purolator Co.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steven Murty of Miami, Fla., Bobby Murty of Ocala, Fla.; a stepson, David Edwards of Farmington; two stepdaughters, Diane Berry of Neelyville, Denise Nelson of Abilene, Texas; two brothers, Floyd Hollis of Hines, Ore., Carl Hollis of Malden; a sister, Shirley Philpott of Dexter, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
