JACKSON, Mo. -- Bettie Jane Friese, 73, of Jackson died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ollie and Alice Lucille Johnson Eaton. She and Wilber E. Friese were married Aug. 22, 1947, at Tilsit, Mo.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She had worked as a certified nurse aid at Jackson Manor until her retirement in 1989.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Darrel Friese of Jackson, Douglas Friese of Oak Ridge, Mo., and Donald Friese of Sedalia, Mo.; one daughter, Rhonda Price of Jackson; two sisters, Virginia Amelunke of Jackson and Laura Lewis of Naylor, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.
