COBDEN, Ill. -- Bette Griffith, 71, of Cobden died Saturday, June 1, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 30, 1925, in Detroit, the daughter of William R. and Opal M. Wright Davis. Griffith married Ralph B. "Bud" Griffith, Dec. 2, 1945, in Anna, Ill. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Roger Griffith of Dundee, Ill., and William Ralph Griffith of Boston; a sister, Joyce Verble of Anna; and five grandchildren...

COBDEN, Ill. -- Bette Griffith, 71, of Cobden died Saturday, June 1, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 30, 1925, in Detroit, the daughter of William R. and Opal M. Wright Davis.

Griffith married Ralph B. "Bud" Griffith, Dec. 2, 1945, in Anna, Ill. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Roger Griffith of Dundee, Ill., and William Ralph Griffith of Boston; a sister, Joyce Verble of Anna; and five grandchildren.

A brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cobden.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral services will start at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Ryman officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cobden.
