JACKSON -- Funeral service for Bette F. Campbell of Jackson will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at White Funeral Home in Independence, Iowa. Pastor Jack Weida will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson was in charge of local arrangements.
Campbell, 74, died Saturday, May 3, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of William Henry and Frances Fannie Williams Hohl. She and John William Campbell were married April 24, 1946, in Independence.
Campbell attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, and was a 1944 graduate of Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minn.
She was a laboratory and X-ray technician at several hospitals, retiring in 1970. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Declaration Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Independence.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Stephen Campbell of Jackson; a brother, Robert Hohl of Independence; two sisters, Jean Potts of Independence, Marlys Templeton of Clear Lake, Iowa; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and sister.
