BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Beth Ruth Holderness Poe will be held at 1 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Hank Foster will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to service time.
Poe, 91, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
She was born March 20, 1905, daughter of William Fletcher and Ida Clark Ward. She first married Ernest Holderness, who preceded her in death. She later married Lloyd Poe, who also preceded her in death.
Poe was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She taught school more than 40 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Lee Jones of Wentzville and Jean Smock of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
