Bessie O. Martin, 82, 632 Louis, died Monday, June 26, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born June 16, 1913, in Kingfisher, Okla., daughter of John and Alta Rosa May Nealy. She and Cyrus Martin were married Jan. 20, 1955, in Reno, Nev.
Martin had been a waitress at Colonial Tavern and Blue Note Club.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara Rider of Cape Girardeau; two stepdaughters, Shiela Kirk of Woodstock, Ga., Diane Oakleaf of Portland, Ore.; a brother, John Taylor of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Lola Fitzpatrick of Tulsa, Susie Uselton and Dorothy Gogan of Guthrie, Okla., Tahwahnah Worrell of Linden, Wash.; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, sister and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Wesley Rider officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
