MARQUAND, Mo. -- Bessie Jewel Miinch, 89, of Marquand died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at Perry County Hospital in Perryville, Mo.
She was born Oct. 26, 1910, at Patton, Mo., daughter of Jesse A. and Pairlee Farmer Yount. She and Charles A. Miinch were married Feb. 29, 1928. He died Dec. 6, 1991.
Miinch had worked at Deevers Shoe Factory in Fredericktown, Mo., and at Angelica Uniform Co. in Marquand. She was a member of Union Light Congregational Methodist Church, its Women's Missionary Society and Busy Bee Extension Club.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Miinch of Kuttawa, Ky., Joe Miinch of Sedgewickville, Mo.; three daughters, Lamia Bangert of Patton, Dean Bess of Marquand, Carol Davis of Marble Hill, Mo.; two brothers, Don Yount of Jackson, Mo., Glen Yount of Herculaneum, Mo.; two sisters, Ora Lee Slover of Marquand, Dolly Fadler of Farmington, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, a sister, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Union Light Church, with the Revs. Donald Sander and George Mills officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
