Bessie Marie McCormick of St. Louis died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, in St. Louis County. She was born April 6, 1907, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Calvin G. and Ida E. Smith Melton. She married Walter E. McCormick, who preceded her in death. McCormick had lived in St. Louis 55 years, and retired as a teacher with Ritenour School District...

McCormick had lived in St. Louis 55 years, and retired as a teacher with Ritenour School District.

Survivors include a niece, Ethel Kimble of Fenton.

Friends may call at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home in St. Louis from 10-11 a.m. Friday. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
