Bessie Mae Wills, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Thursday, June 22, 1922, in Daisy to Julius and Maudie Friese Crites. She and George F. Wills were married Saturday, June 22, 1946, at Cape Girardeau. They had no children.
She was a 1941 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.
She was a dedicated employee of Florsheim Shoe Co. for 46 years before retiring. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
The family would like to thank everyone who cared for her.
Survivors include three nieces, Karen Shrum of Farmington, Missouri, Sharon Estes of Springfield, Missouri, and Deloris Holder of Scott City; and a nephew, Tom Crites of Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Southside Baptist Church or Tri-County Hospice Services Inc.
