BESSIE MAE GOGGIN

LESTERVILLE -- Bessie Mae Goggin, 91, of Maryland Heights, Mo., a native of Lesterville, died Friday, Sept. 2, 1994, at the Brookview Nursing Home in Maryland Heights.

She was born at Lesterville on April 16, 1993, daughter of Mont Adams and Lucy Alcorn Adams

She married Oscar Goggin on March 8, 1922. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Lesterville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Montie "Jack" Goggin of Lesterville, Walter Goggin of St. Charles County, Mo., Charles Goggin of Troy, Mo., William "Bill" Goggin of Washington, Mo., and James Goggin of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Maxine Walker of Lesterville, Betty Turnbaugh of Fredericktown, and Jessie Chitwood of Cedar Hill, Mo.; a brother, Roy Adams of Lesterville; sisters Beulah Bryant of Lesterville and Bobbye McHenry of Ironton; 26 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.

Service was held at Lesterville First Baptist Church Monday, with the Rev. Bob Nichols officiating. Burial was in Rayfield Cemetery. McSpadden Funeral Homes, Inc., Lesterville, was in charge of arrangements.
