BESSIE I. FRANKLIN

PERRYVILLE -- Bessie Irene Franklin, 81, of Perryville, died Monday, Sept. 18, 1995, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 22, 1914, at Fairdealing, daughter of George Thomas and Clara Huskey Powers. She and Wilson "Dick" Franklin were married Sept. 10, 1930.

Franklin worked many years in the women's department at Roziers. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jim Franklin of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Joe Franklin of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three daughters, Loretta of Georgia, Linda Hanger of Ellington, Susan Hornberger of Munfordville, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today and from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
