JACKSON -- Bessie Hawn Haehn, 90, formerly of Jackson died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the Arcadia Valley Hospital in Ironton.
She was born May 28, 1908, at Glen Allen, daughter of Felix and Rachel Goodson Hawn. She and Floyd Haehn were married Feb. 13, 1953. He died Jan. 21, 1964.
In her early years she lived in Marble Hill.
She moved to St. Louis where she worked a number of years as a cashier at the Lutheran Hospital.
She moved to Jackson in 1963 from St. Louis and worked at the former Cox's Variety Store.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked in the children's division of the Sunday School.
For the past nine years she lived at the Missouri Baptist Home in Ironton.
Survivors include two nephews, Charlie Hawn of Marble Hill and Robert D. Hawn of Las Cruz, N.M.; three nieces, Kathryn Aufdenberg of Jackson, Maxine Barrett of Marquand and Marilyn Baker of Evansville, Ind.; and a number of great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Rainey will officiate, with burial in Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
