Berton T. Miget, 73, of 2610 Ranchito Drive died Sunday, June 27, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 14, 1920, at Cape Girardeau, the son of Joseph and Mary Poyer Miget. On Jan. 31, 1948, he married Mildred L. "Midge" Seabaugh, who survives of the home.
He was a carpenter in Cape Girardeau for many years and was a member of Carpenters Union #1770. He also was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3838 in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include five sisters, Lounett Willer, Louise Willard, Sylvia Schutte and Lillian Lawrence, all of Cape Girardeau, and May Flynn of Perryville. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msr. Richard Rolwing will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Also, military rites will be observed at the cemetery and conducted by VFW Post #3838.
