PERRYVILLE -- Bertha S. Horneker, 89, of Perryville died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1909, at Pacific, daughter of Robert and Anna Bruns Schuchart. She married Edward M. Horneker, who died in January 1984...

PERRYVILLE -- Bertha S. Horneker, 89, of Perryville died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 26, 1909, at Pacific, daughter of Robert and Anna Bruns Schuchart. She married Edward M. Horneker, who died in January 1984.

Horneker had been a dietary consultant at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Perryville, and past matron of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Horneker of Troy, Ill., George Horneker of Jonesboro, Ark., Ralph Horneker of Perryville; a sister, Florence Highsmith of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
