Bertha Glastetter

Bertha Agnes Glastetter, 94, of Scott City, Missouri, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 30, 1922, in New Hamburg, Missouri, to Joseph and Rose Wiedefeld Backfisch. She married William Joseph Glasttetter on January 9, 1945, in Kelso, Missouri.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and St. Ann's Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by two sons, Edward (Sharon) Glastetter of Scott City and Gary (Brenda) Glastetter of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Linda Kesterson and Laverne (Butch) Bader of Scott City; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Billy and Gerald Glastetter, five brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso with the Rev. Joseph Weidenbenner officiating.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso.
