Bertha F. Hoffmeister, 100, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Dec. 9, 1899, in Tilsit, daughter of Otto and Fredericke Bruns Siebert.
Hoffmeister was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and a former member of the Ladies Aide. She was employed many years as a nurse's aide at St. Francis Hospital, retiring in 1965.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Hoffmeister of Jackson and Bill Hoffmeister of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, JoAnn Emmons of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and four sisters.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape Memorial Park Cemetery.
