BERTHA E. LAPPE

BIEHLE -- Bertha E. Lappe, 79, of Biehle died March 19, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born July 4, 1913, in Perry County to Theodore and Mary L. Leible Sauer, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker.

She married Emil W. Lappe July 14, 1934. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Tom Lappe of Desloge and Larry Lappe of Bonne Terre; one daughter, Ann Schnurbusch of Old Appleton; five brothers, Robert Sauer of Moberly, and Edgar Sauer, Leon Schumer, Norbert Schumer and Edward Schumer, all of Perryville; six daughters, Rose Hotop Dorothy Barry, both of Perryville, and Leola Lappe, Ida Biehle, Clara Grus and Isabell Renaud, all of St. Louis; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

She was a member of the St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, and the St. Ann Ladies Sodality of Biehle.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville from 2-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30-10:30 a.m. Monday.

A funeral Mass will be said at St. Maurus Catholic Church at Biehle at 11 a.m.

A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today.

Burial will be in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Joseph Eiler officiating.
