SIKESTON, Mo. -- Bertha Buhs, 82, of St. Louis died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Bethesda Dillworth Home in St. Louis.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918, at Kelso, Mo., daughter of Joseph and Rosalia Gosche Buhs.
Buhs was a housekeeper many years for Msgr. John J. O'Neill at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Rectory. She was also housekeeper for the Rev. Alois Stevens at parishes in Monett, Jackson, New Madrid and New Hamburg, Mo., retiring in 1984.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, both in St. Louis. She was a former member of St. Francis Xavier Church and charter member of Legion of Mary.
Survivors include two brothers, Andrew Buhs of Manchester, Mo., and Arthur Buhs of Millbrae, Calif.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
A memorial Mass will be held later at St. John's Church.
