BERNICE WILKINSON

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Bernice P. Schmidt Wilkinson, 93, of Dongola died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at City Care Center in Anna.

She was born May 16, 1906, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, daughter of Arnold and Effie Luella Spies Emerson. She first married Wilbert H. Schmidt, who preceded her in death. She later married Paul N. Wilkinson, who also preceded her in death.

Wilkinson attended First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Vera Price of Bay Cliff, Texas, Doris Ramirez of Sumter, S.C., Nancy McCatty of Itasco; five sons, Elmer Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., Walter Mottinger of Boston, Mass., Bill Schmidt of Redwood City, Calif., Paul Schmidt of Dongola, David Schmidt of Metamora; 25 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nancy Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
