SCOTT CITY -- Bernice Cummins Crump, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 22, 1915, at Bloomfield, daughter of David Omer and Zora Inez Brock Coombes. She first married Oravill "Wiggles" Cummins Dec. 15, 1934. He died Oct. 1, 1985. She married Carlos Crump April 27, 1990...

SCOTT CITY -- Bernice Cummins Crump, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 22, 1915, at Bloomfield, daughter of David Omer and Zora Inez Brock Coombes. She first married Oravill "Wiggles" Cummins Dec. 15, 1934. He died Oct. 1, 1985. She married Carlos Crump April 27, 1990.

Crump was a machine operator at the former Ely Walker Co. here. She was a member of the Assenbly of God Church and its women's missionary society, and Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gene Cummins of Chaffee, Paul Cummins of Scott City; a daughter, Delores Burger of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, John Crump of Wappapello, Les Crump of Scott City; a stepdaughter, CArla Peterson of Independence; a brother, Junior Coombes of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Edith Littlepage of Lansing, Mich., Ida Windburn of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren, and four great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Larie Burdine will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
