BERNEDA NEWCOMER

BELL CITY -- Berneda M. Newcomer, 69, of Bell City died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 11, 1929, at Randles, daughter of Grover William and Bessie Buelah Patterson Menz. She and Davey L. Newcomer were married June 8, 1990.

Newcomer retired as a nurse aide at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was a member of Free Trinity Pentecostal Church at Randles.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Clifford Wagoner of Painton; a daughter, Gail Ballard of Chaffee; an adopted daughter, Shirley Owens of Scott City; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Free Trinity Church, with the Revs. Jack Owens, Vester Keesee and Brad Moore officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
