Funeral Mass for Bernard John Seyer of Murray, Ky., will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Murray. The Rev. Robert Drewy will officiate. Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.

J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray is in charge of arrangements.

Seyer, 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital Long Term Care.

He was born Aug. 21, 1912, in Scott County, son of Ferdinand and Helen Glueck Seyer. He and Cecil June Simmons were married March 5, 1935. She died Oct. 24, 1985.

Seyer retired from food services at Murray State University. He was a member of St. Leo's Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Rudd of Poplar Bluff, Sondra Holloway of Murray, Bernardine Saunders of Cobb Island, Md.; a brother, Marcus Seyer of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
