SCOTT CITY Funeral service for Bernard R. Sanders of Clearwater, Fla., was held Friday at Kutis Funeral Chapel in St. Louis. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Sanders, 74, died Monday, July 26, 1993, at his home.
He was born April 21, 1919, at Portageville.
Sanders was retired from the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 672 in Cape Girardeau; Scottish Rite and Moolah Temple in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Patricia Sanders of Woodland Hills, Calif.; a son, Bernard Sanders Jr. of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; five sisters, Wanda Bles, Lois Ruder, Ladon Karraker, Lola Bles, all of Scott City, Kathryn Santivasci of Ft. Worth, Texas; two brothers, Ray and Coy Summers of Ft. Worth, and four grandchildren.
