Bernard John Kabat, 67, of Patton, Mo., died Friday, June 24, 2005, at the Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.
He was born Sept. 3, 1937 at St. Louis, Mo., son of Anthony J. and Emily Frances Kowalski Kabat. He and Martha Mae Stracner were married Aug. 9, 1974.
He worked for Waggoner Electric Co. as a machine operator.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Michael Mueller of Georgia, and David Mueller of Champaign, Ill.; two stepsons, Chris Barone of St. Louis, Stephen Barone of Henderson, Ky.; one daughter, Kathy Young of Champaign, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Nancy Barone of Paragould, Ark., Debra Barone of Patton, Cynthia Shivers of Barnhart; one brother, Clarence Kabat of Illinois; two sisters, Jeanette Nash of Missouri, Rose Ann Kristan of Tamaro, Ill.; 14 granchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev Jeff Garland officiating. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery.
