Bernadine Marie Ray, 65, of Orange City, Fla., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, April 21, 1997, at her home.
A native of Pinckneyville, Ill., she resided in Cape Girardeau from 1960 until moving to Florida in 1983.
Ray had been an optometry assistant for Dr. Harold Buxton. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Homer E. Ray; a son, Robert Ray of St. Charles; two daughters, Staci Lawler of Orange City, Donna Feuerham of Virginia Beach, Va.; her mother, Gertrude Meyer of Pinckneyville; three brothers, Lowell Meyer of Rockford, Ill., Gene Meyer of Chico, Calif., Larry Meyer of Van Nuys, Calif.; four sisters, Evelyn Ferguson of Granite City, Ill., Marilyn Queen of New Athens, Ill., Shirley Shaw of Naperville, Ill., Donna Boswell of Queen Creek, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home in Orange City, with burial in Deltona Cemetery. The Rev. Martha Wallis will officiate.
