BENTON, Mo. -- Bernadette Louise Bollinger, 96, of Benton died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Morley, Missouri, to Herman and Mary Snyder Seiler. She married Raymond Paul Bollinger on Sept. 24, 1946. He preceded her in death May 20, 2012...

BENTON, Mo. -- Bernadette Louise Bollinger, 96, of Benton died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Morley, Missouri, to Herman and Mary Snyder Seiler. She married Raymond Paul Bollinger on Sept. 24, 1946. He preceded her in death May 20, 2012.

Bernadette worked in the deli and did cake decorating for IGA and National Del Farms. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton and Ladies Sodality of the church and was a Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her sons, David (Sandy) Bollinger of Las Vegas and Howard (Sandra) Bollinger of Benton; daughters, Marilyn Cook of St. John, Missouri, Susan Kettler of St. Louis and Ellen Bollinger of Kansas City, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Kenny Ray Bollinger; four brothers; and two sisters.

A private family service will be held today at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, with the Rev. Bala Swamy Govindu as celebrant.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
